alright im new to this site but thats beside the point i had a couple questions i figured i would see if you guys could answer. I have a 1997 dodge ram 1500 with the ext cab and the 4x4 with the big 5.9 and all the goodies. I also have a 3 inch sky jacker suspension lift but still have stock tires and rims on there. Alright here are my questions Can i fit a 15 inch rim on my truck? and do you think or has anyone ran a 35 inch tire with a 3 inch lift? short and sweet help me out?
I got the same truck as you but with a 5 1/2 in. rancho suspension lift. Right now i got 33x14.50x15 tires on so the 15 in rim will fit. Don't know about the 35 inch tires.
yeah theres no reason why you couldnt fit 15 inch wheels on there. and you need to be more specific on the tires. Like how wide do you want them? if your wanting 12.5 wide with a 3 inch lift its going to rub but should be driveable. anything over that width and its not going to work.
I had 35s on my '98 RCSB 5.9 4x4 with 3" body lift. Had to trim a bit, but only plastic, no metal at all to stop rubbing on turns. Only small issue was on really rough terrain off-road, it might hit once in a while...
you should be fine my truck is exactly the same as yours only i have a 3 inch body lift and i'm running 34x 10 x 16 and the only thing i rub is my stock control arms
