Tranny issue - hard acceleration
Hi everyone. This is my first post on this board and wanted to see if anyone had any ideas on this issue.
I have a 2001 Ram 1500 5.9L 2/4wd, I don't know what transmission I have but I'm guessing it's a 46RE.
Anyways, my truck feels like it's always taking off in 2nd gear. There's a louder than normal sound I would categorize as hydraulic build-up when I take off from a complete stop.
Shifting is fine.
I've put it 1st and took off and it accelerates alot faster, then I put it in 2nd and took off and it accelerates slower, and I've put in drive and it accelerates slower than it was in 2nd.
What I've done so far...low band adjustment, replaced the tranny filter, replaced the tranny pressure solenoid (I wanted to replaced the sensor but nobody had it stock).

Are you throwing any engine codes? What did the pan and fluid look like when you changed the pressure sensor and solenoid? Does it feel like youre taking off in second or third, when you put the shifter in drive?
