Default Rigid Steering

Hey, As i was test driving my new (to me) ram, i noticed the steering was very hard, rigid if you will.. I could still turn and stuff but its just really really tight steering. When i got back to the dealer, i told him that the trucks great but you need to take a look at the steering. He asked whats wrong and i told him that the steering is to hard to turn, but not too too hard where you cant turn it at all. I told him i want it fixed, and its not leaving the lot until its fully fixed to where I want it. I have a year warranty on it, mind as well put it to good use. But my quesiton is, just for my own personal knowledge, what could be the problem? Faulty power steering pump?

weak power steering pump.
over-tightened steering box adjustment.
bad steering box.

You got a warrenty on a USED truck? Wow i'm impressed the dealerships around here will not sell anything with a warrenty. A new truck barely has a warrenty around here our dealers have a way of waseling out of the new Lifetime warrenty thing here. Hope they fix it for you and not just bandade it so it breaks later on down the road so you have to pay them to fix it.
