Default Please help me I so lost

I have a 97 ram with a 318 4x4. I spin a rod bearing in it so i put a long block in it. After that was doing i could get the time right it seemed. After 3 week of messing with it i took it to a loc shop. week and 500$ later then put a new crank sen in it and said it still needed a cat and plugs. Cause it wont rev up at all it well idle. Said it was clong so i told them i do it myselft cause then wanted 1200 more to do that. So i gluted the cat and put new plug in it like then said SAME F*** thing wont rev up. this is my only car to drive. this suck all lot. i spending al my time and money on this thing and i getting ready it put my head though a wall. So i have 50psi of fuel press on the rail it dose not backfire at idle or any time and when you give it gas it goes may be to 1100 rpm and idle at about 800. Please any help would be great.

Just a shot in the dark here. Would the throttle position sensor do this if it failed?

I believe the timing on this truck has to be set with a computer. I don't think you can set it by turning the distributor. It is called setting sync signal... Just a thought....

Timing is controlled by ECU, the distributor sets the fuel sync, must be done with a scan tool to be exact.
