Default Size of brake line & where to find one???

So I blew out the brake line that goes along length of the truck. Dropped the gas tank and now I'm ready to get in there and fix er up, but can't seem to find a replacement line. Are those universal kits any good? Do you need a flaring tool with them? Will the dealer charge me a year's pay for an OEM replacement line?

And does anybody know the size of the line (diameter) in a 2000 2500? Thanks,

-Rick

It's most likely 3/16, it is on a 1500 anyway. Just take the line off in it's entirety and bring it to your local parts supply. They will hook you up with the closest length. With a cheap tubing bender you can make it fit.

Thanks guy. Haven't had a chance to get back in there yet but I'll give that a go.

Default prime and paint the tube

prime and paint the tube or it will rust again. Mine blow up behind the gas tank, It was replaced to the return of the proportional valve.
