I just picked up my first truck, its a 94 Dodge Ram 2wd.

It has a rusted brake line. My question is if the brake line is rusted and it looses fluid every time the pedal is pressed in will it cause the ABS light to come on.

I have never had a vehicle with ABS before.

Any input is appreciated.

 

Dont think it will. Do you have an ABS light on?

 

I replaced the brake line. It fixed it. The ABS light went off as did the brake light.

I am new to trucks, my 90 talon doesn't have ABS. No use for it.
