Default 95 dodge engine rebuild

I am in need of rebuilding the engine for my 95 ram. I am looking for any information or help, and also any input as to what you would do. It is 2wd and lowered, and will be a daily driver. It also has a manual trans that is bad, lots of problems but it was free!

Manual trans is a good tranny and cheap to fix compared to the Auto.

Start with this:

Well if you want to spend alot of money, you could always stroke it out to a 400 something, for the 318 i think that it is a 403 and for the 360 it is a 408.
However if you are looking for something cheaper, yet will give a good power, go with the standards, put a better cam in it, and maybe, especially if you have a 318, some higher compression pistons. Probably an M1 intake, and especially a cutsom tune pcm or a mopar performance pcm. A larger throttle body. Keep in mind that anytime you up performace, you reduce the time before the engine will need to be redone again.

As far as cams go, I know that you can get the purple cams from mopar, but they range from 400-600 a piece. Crane makes several. However if you want some made by possibly the best performance ram company the take a look at krc performance. The guys there, know what they are talking about.

For pistons, several companies make good pistons, but my favorites are arias or keith black. For the 318 keith black has some of the best ones.

then again if money is no object, then go all out.
eagle 408 stroker kit
KRC performance cam krc 224b
M1 intake ported and polished
ported and polished heads, with oversized valves.
Heavy dual valve springs
paxton supercharger
high flow melling oilpump
electric water pump
flexalit flex fan
ac elimination pulley
underdrive pullies
fluidamper
1.7:1 roller rockers
mopar performance roller lifters
fast engine control unit
pacesetter longtube headers

Although should you do this you HAVE TO POST A VIDEO
oh well I have rambeled long enough
