Default Bought a Ram 1500

I just bought a 95 ram 1500 5.9 with a 137000 miles. It leaks a little transmission fluid, uses a little oil and drinks alot of gas. I have heard about the plenum gasket, now i looked down my intake and it has in oily film look to it. Now would this cause my oil consumption? and poor gas milage? and what do the parts cost to replace the gasket.

And if there is any other info on this truck(like problems to look for) please let me know.

yes that causes oil consumption, it literally burns it out. It may hurt the mileage. The parts aren't all to expensive, the labor is what kills.
