new plugs= WOW!
i got my truck back in june and i changed my plugs for the first time today....in there already were autolite 3924s and i switched to the 23s...and oh my gosh what a difference...there was a dramatic improvement across the board...my old ones didnt even look too bad....all of my other vehicles i have used top of the line bosch plugs and i have never had one respond as well as my 5.2..............
The autolites I tried worked well for about 1000 miles. Then I started having bogging problems, especially with heavier throttle. Switching to NGK V-power plugs have worked much better for me.
I am running an MSD 6A box, so the plugs are getting popped 3X more than the stock setup.

Heres a good one. Went to get new plugs for my mom's 07 Toyota 4Runner V6, (you have to replace them every 30,000 in a 4R!) and the ones they had were platinum 3923s. going to install them monday and see if they work any good in it. I have yet to put them in Purpl, but i need to cause of the crappy bosch plugs that are in it now.

at the least the old plugs should be cleaned, sharpened and re-gapped first, then compared to the new plug after
3. with 8 different cylinders it may be that more than one plug design is optimum. Cylinders 7 & 8 on Magnum V8s seem to run hotter and get a leaner air to fuel ratio. Most cylinder head gasket failures and cracked combustion chambers seem to be 7 & 8

What plugs would be Ideal for my truck then? I have an 01 5.2, and honest to god, I have never changed the plugs in 96k miles, yet they still look really really good. Very clean in the gap, and not much burn on them.
