99 1500 drops in rpm and dies

i started my 99 1500 sport 5.2 and it idles in park and when i put it in drive it dies right away unless i keep it floored. i have no clue what it could be. could anyone help me out

POssibly a vacuum leak at the intake manifold or the vacuum hoses?

oo yeah i forgot it wont start either unless i jump it. so if anyone could help me out id appriciatte it cause i need my truck.

These trucks need a fully charged good battery to run correctly, I would take the battery and alternator to AutoZone or wherever and have them both checked out.
