Default no 4x4

the 4x4 light stays on all the time unless i unplug it behind the front bumper. the transfer case kicks in but the front wheels aren't turning. are there any sensors that could cause this or am i heading the wrong direction?

here's how its supposed to work.

http://www.dodgeram.org/tech/repair/..._engagment.htm

put the truck up on 4 jack stands for safe testing/troubleshooting
first - check that your 2 vac lines from the t-case function, and are not reversed.
second - check that your front drive shaft turns.
third - CAD operates, and fork slides over, and coupler engages shafts.
fourth - the light switch on the end of the cad works, and turns on dash light.
