Default Getting plugs out

I went to change my plugs today. In 96k miles, they have never been changed. 3 of them popped out no problem. However 5 of them will not budge at all.

Any thoughts on how to get them out?

Spray some PBlaster around the base of the plug every few minutes and let soak overnight. If they still won't budge, try some brake fluid.

You can also try starting the motor and let it warm up. Sometimes this will help break them free.

I had this happen to me on my bad #8 cylinder. I used PB and 1/2" breaker bar. Once you get it to loosened, spray more PB then alternately tighten/loosen until she backs out. It is a real PITA. Whatever you do, resist the temptation to use an air impact to run it out.

I have had the same problem in the past and I took the pcv line off and let the vacume suck a can of sea foam in and followed it with a quart of auto tranny fluid and it burned off all the carbon and lubed the threads and they came out with ease , and it will smoke a lot while it runs through and then for good measure i run a quart in the gas tank once a month to keep the carbon down and it also lubes the injectors and valve guides some.

use a 1/2 ratchet or breaker bar. i hold the ratchet with one hand and hammer down on the bar with my fist until it breaks it loose.

breaker bar is the best way to go. its got supreme leverage. Get you a long extension and ease it out.
