lol Ive seen a Chevy pull a Ford (although it was only 50ft to our driveway when my dad's ford ran out of gas), but I hadnt seen a Dodge pull a Ford before.
last time i tried to pull something out of a ditch the freakin chain snapped and gave my tailgate wiplash and bare metal spots, stupid ford and being deep in a ditch, took the tow truck 45 min to get him out, got the jeep out easy enough tho
I tried to pull a chevy out the other day and my Dodge just sat thier and bellered didn't even turn over the tires in 4 high so to low side with it i went and it had just enough power to turn the tires in second gear still not fast enough to get the tires to clean out yet. So I just had to unhook and leave it set thier.
Invest in a good tow rope. Chains will not work for recovery unless you are winching. You are just asking for the "tailgate whiplash"
I have broken tow ropes with my garden tractor. If you use a real chain and hook to the proper points and pull like you got some common sence instead of a big dummy you will never have the "tailgate whiplash". I have done recovery with chains for years and never ever had a issue just stop and think for a min. What do they use on wreckers for recovery? Not a tow rope. Why? Simple they break way to easy. Chains are much more stronger and safer if used the right way.
