I bought a new tie rod end since I damaged the boot on my old one. On the old tie rod, I could grip the joint with just my fingers and pivot it, but the new one is really stiff, putting the joint against the palm of my hand and shoving, I can barely move it. Is this normal? Yes I did grease it up.

 

Yes thats normal until it breaks in a little.

 

You want them to be stiff.
