Default started modding my dodge

so since my mom bought a new accord, i have taken over the 1995 Ram 1500 that has been hers for the past 11 years.

it turned into a plow truck 4 years ago, but i never did anything with the front suspension to go with the extra weight...untill today!

before:

stock springs vs. new ones(2500 V10's):

old shocks:
guess i needed new ones...left one is the driver side, took it out pushed it down with NO effort and it never returned... passenger side not as bad, but still on its last limbs. up graded those to Rancho RS5000's

finally finished:

wasnt too bad considering the year and amount of rust, the bolts came undone with almost no effort. only ran into one issue with a sway bar bracket bolt where the threads in the frame were stripped, but a tap and hillacoil took care of that.

level'd the truck right out and the ride is MUCH better! no more shaking like crazy when i hit bumbs and front end bounce!

i have new rear shocks to do as well, but didnt want to get into that tonight. next will be those, an alignment and putting the 33's back on!

Was your ram stock because I am thinking of doing the same thing but I'm not sure if it will work on a 2wd. Any insight?

Good job! Did a 3 inch lift on our plowtruck. Made snowplowing much easier. V10 springs sounds like a good alternative to a lift kit.

It will work, just find yourself a 2wd 2500 V10.

that looks really kick a$$. i wonder if the v10 spring work on the 2500 diesel. i dont want to go crazy with lift of the dodge. i already have a trail rig on 39's. so i gotta play nice with the dodge lol.

Looks good, must ride a lot better too!

^ CTD is heavier than the V10. Put V10 springs in & it could be sitting lower not higher.
