Potential project
I have a 95 Ram 2500 4wd w/Dana 60 front and 70 rear axles. The V10 and auto tranny have issues. I have an opportunity to buy a 99 Ram 1500 with 1 5.2 L and 5 spd. Any reason I couldn't swap the suspesions between the 2?
Were it me, I wouldn't swap the suspensions, I'd swap the motors and wiring.
With the 2500 you have a stronger frame, and its already set up for the 3/4 ton suspension and axles.
Swapping the suspension into the 1500 isn't any harder, you just end up with a weaker frame.
My 2 cents

Kinda depends on what you want in a truck. If it is more of a DD with little towing or hauling, I'd take the '99 and just run with it. Swapping in the 2500 axles and such would be ok, but likely a bunch of work with little real benefit.
If you want to tow or haul, I am thinking that trying to swap in the HD components may provide some benefit, but there will always be a weak link somewhere. After all, it is a 1500 with a 5.2L.
Me personally, I'd likely take the '99 and part out the 2500.
