Gear Oil Question
Hello,
I have searched this subject and found many varying answers concerning lubes. I have a 1999 2500 with Dana 60 front, Dana 80 rear, 4500HD manual transmission, 241HD T-case.
Just wondering if I am safe putting conventional 75W-90 GL-5 in my Differentials, 75W-90 synthetic in my transmission, and NAPA premium ATF in the T-case. I have a 7oz tube of Trans-X Posi-Trac Limited Slip Gear Oil Additive to add to the rear diff. Money is tight and I can't afford synthetic all around. I do very little hauling , no off-roading, no swimming and I drive it gently. This is the second lube refresh on a 66,700 mile truck. Can I get by with these fluid choices?
Thank You For Any Replies

yes you will be fine all you need to do is at least use recomended weights and friction modifiers synthetic is of course better but more expensive just keep up changing ur fluids as recomended and you'll be ok
