If its a 4x4, you will need two sets of gears, one for the front axle, one for the rear.

Just got back from a decent trip, 170 miles, about 80/20 hwy/city, 15.62 MPG. I am pretty stoked about the fuel economy on this truck.

While in town I had the tranny shop flush the tranny and install a mild shift kit. Tranny feels really nice now.

Angry The Price of Diesel Fuel

We all knew the price was going up due to Oil and it has been coming down slowly. Here is the main contributor for the run up. Make your vehicle get better MPG.

The Government isn't your friend and with all the Corrupt politicians you can see why Big Oil does what it does.

with a truck that is 'new to you'
it is always a good idea
to write down several tanks worth of MPG results
just to see the natural variation

Here's what a
1995 2wd Ram ClubCab shortbed
46RH auto, 3.21diff, hard tonneau
weighing 5400 lbs did in city driving:
-----------
OD turned off runs:

7-19-00 14.32 mpg Amoco87
7-29-00 15.17 mpg Amoco87
8-08-00 14.23 mpg Amoco87
9-08-00 13.53 mpg Amoco87
---------------------------------
average 14.31 mpg
Standard Deviation =0.67

OD turned on runs:
(these were run inbetween the runs above)

7-12-00 14.16 mpg Exxon87
8-17-00 14.25 mpg Amoco87
8-24-00 15.49 mpg Amoco87
9-01-00 15.03 mpg Amoco87
9-12-00 14.35 mpg Amoco87
-------------------------------
average 14.66 mpg
