Heater Core
alright so it finally got bad enough that it started leaking in threw the vent. I had my a/c drained last weekend and it only had 5 lbs in it so I figure the a/c is leaking in the book also. I cant replace until next weekend so I'm going to by pass the heater core. Thks for all the info and the pictures. Cant wait to tackle it! j/k
My gf and I did it over the weekend. Took a good long while but that was because we were learning our way as we went. The hardest and longest part was just disconnecting the a/c lines. Turns out you need a special tool which we didn't know (newbs here) and then we couldn't get the tool to slide into place (WD-40 ftw).
None of it was actually hard to do, though and now that we know what we're doing, we would do it again. We just made sure to put the never ending supply of bolts, screws, nuts, and other various machine flora in to labeled baggies, took a few pictures to remember what went where and once the core was in it went back together very easy. Good luck!
