Default What tires should I get?

I drive on the road for the most part but I also do a lot of off-road work. Which tires would be best? I'm looking at getting some Cooper Discoverer STT tires but I havent decided yet. Are those a good choice?

I've heard good about the Coopers. I recommend BFG A/T's though.

Highly recommend coopers. Put a set of discoverer ST 265/75 on in 2003. Still good tread on a smooth riding. AWESOME traction in snow and off road. We get big dumps of snow occasionally here but they don't clean off the roads. Man, put it 4 and it will climb right out of deep powder. My next set is definitely the same tire. Btw, six years and 50k some miles including 4 4k road trips. Only had one nail.

Not to jack the thread, but has anyone heard good or bad about Firestone Destination A/T tires? I'm looking at them for my next set after these Hercules (truck came with them) wear out. If they are good, they'd be another option for Old School Ram Man as well.

I've heard a lot of good things about them on the net elsewhere and around town here, but I wanted your guys' opinions, as they tend to be right.

Yokohama Geolandar AT-S. I just got a set of 4 265/75R16s mounted and out the door for about $620.

Rated exceptionally high at tire rack on reviews. Very reasonable tire for the price.

Before you buy, I would go to Tire Rack and compare what you are buying against tires in the same category. Make sure you get a load rated tire if you plan on towing or carrying heavy weight frequently.

destinations are a good tire for towing they are built strong but for off road use im not very impressed drove into a sloppy cornfield with the bosses truck and there she sat just spun the tires they dont dig much but excellent for the highway with a load on the fifth wheel. got 285 75 16 terra grapplers on my truck for 635 and they are the best tire ive ever used

I'll 2nd the terragrapplers. Awesome on road manners and look to be as good as any A/t off road. Have'nt taken off road yet. I got mine at a steal at discount tire direct.
