Back fire

Have a 2001 318 stock Ram, me and the wife were out the other night and I hit the gas hard and when I get up to 4.5 to 5000 rpm the engine wants to back fire, it never did this before, I have been using mystery oil for a week or so, could it be the oil in the gas? Thanks
