245 vs. 265 tire questions

titus5 what your saying is correct but the fact of the matter comes down to is how much it will affect the fuel economy, 20 pounds to the truck could be made up by making sure the bed is empty and the back seat is clean.
with the same height tire the added width and 20 pounds might decrease you by .5 miles per gallon

The tire weight will vary depending on load range of the tires as well - load range E 245 may be heavier than D 265. I have L. R D 285's and didn't notice any difference in mileage from the stock 245's. I don't think a few pounds makes a noticable difference in mileage. I do think lighter wheels/tires make it ride nicer due to the lower un-sprung weight.




lol out of the 2 sizes you got i would get 265s
