soo as you see i have 97 ram, and as i drive around my headlights have stopped working. i dont know if its the switch or something else? the running lights are working and the dash lights all work. but the headlights wont turn on. they were working and then when i went inside the store and came back at out the wont come on. any suggestions or if this has happened to anybody else?

check the fuse for the first try, then look at the wiring, if all of those are good then look at the switch

 

Just a dumb question.. but did you check the bulb? Is the an moisture inside the lens? Mine did it all the time until i got new headlamps... water would get on the bulb and it would blow...

 

Check the headlamp switch. They are known to burn at the wiring connector to the switch. The middle wire to be exact. At your local Dodge dealer they sell an updated switch and wiring kit part # 4886449ab. It retails for $95.60. I would sell you one for $74.56 + shipping.

Did you check the fuses in the PDC? No reason to buy a whole switch if all it is is a couple of fuses. Most likely the switch, but always check the small things first.
