Default magnaflow highflowing cat

i have a 2000 ram 5.9. im looking for the part number for the magnaflow cat for that year. 3 months ago i bought the wrong one, and just wasted 110 bucks , cant use it on my truck, its a duel in single out........ the one im looking for the shop said, i need the one that is si/so 3inch. and heard that sometimes these cat dont pass emmisions. is this true????

"si/so", test pipe that baby,, unless you have e-check, or gutt it to look like you have cat.

That is the one I used on my 01. I think 01 Dodge Ram 360 used it too and another member not sure if it was jason w. or someone else used one only theirs was 16" long instead of 13". I had a shop put that one on and it did fine. They just used a reducer on the end of it. As a 3" in /2.5" out is really what the stock one is.

This is assuming you have the same setup I do. If you post a picture of your setup now we could tell you.

dont have the si/so , i think thats the one i need , i bought the wrong one, i got a si/do :/
got pics coming later tonight when i can get my sister camera

does look like the one i need , think i will be ordering that one .......

the one pic is from back behind bed going to the motor, and the other one is connected to the y pipe and the last pic is the wrong cat i got .

Yup that's the exhaust setup I have and that 3" in/out from Summit worked. eBay is cheaper I just like Summit as I know what I'm getting. I ordered the one you say you have now after people telling me that's what I needed. I found out in time it was wrong so canceled my order. Sounds like you weren't that lucky.

Anyway, you also need a 3" to 2.5" reducer but any muffler shop should have that or be able to provide one. The cat goes in as 3" there and comes out as 2.5". I just had them use a reducer on mine. Seems to be the easiest way.
