Offroad Pictures
If you like blue, go with blue. If you like white, go with white. Who cares! Do what you want, as long as you're happy and it works. Always enjoy seeing pictures of your truck, Neon.
If you don't mind me asking an OT question, how much is the tailgate work and what exactly are you having done to it? Mine needs to be repainted and a few scratch/dents taken out, so I'm very curious what it would cost me.

Never in my life did I care about the color or my headlights, what is this BS.
Just use your truck. USE IT.

Thanks guys for all of the comments! Today I went a little further and found a trail with my buddy. He had a newer F-150. It was about 3 miles of rocky and muddy trails. Was a little disappointing though because he led the way. So I automatically knew that if he was getting through, I was getting through it lmao. Actually got the truck covered in mud though, was really fun! Even his girlfriend rode with me because she wanted to be in the dodge lol.
Jason W. The tailgate will be pretty cheap. I had it repainted last year because it was all scratched up when I bought the truck. Problem was they painted it the wrong kind of black. They are going to sand it all down though. My truck had racing stripes when I bought it for some odd reason. Last year they just painted over it so the lines still stick through. So they will sand the whole gate down and then refinish it. Maaco has great pricing though, it's going to be about $75.

So is Maaco painting it or you just are saying they have great pricing? My tailgate has some scratches on it but I haven't gotten it painted as if I do anything I have a fair bit of body work I want done and the body shop I like and deal with is pretty expensive but they do amazing work.
They will be sanding out the racing stripes, and repainting the entire tailgate. They've done all of my bodywork since I first got the truck. They did a great job restoring the body of the truck. When I first bought it, everything was mangled. The front bumper wasn't alligned with the body, and had a huge tear in it. They realligned it, repaired the gash, and repainted the entire bumper. They sandblasted all of the lower parts of the doors, and then chipguared 4" around the entire perimeter of the truck, and then painted over it with the color of the truck. They even repaired my dented rear bumper, and repainted it. They alligned all of my doors too and took the dents out in them. Lastly, they are now doing the tailgate which should complete all of the bodywork. I've done one job at a time, and finally have restored the body, they've always given me great prices and work. Do any of you guys have a Maaco Auto Painting and Collision around you?
Front bumper job=$300
Rusted doors and Perimeter Chip Guard + Paint=$350
Tailgate=$85
Remove Dents and Repaint Rear Bumper+$115

If you have a good Maaco as it sounds you do that's great but unfortunately a lot of guys have bad experiences with them. Prep work is the key to a good paint job and that seems to be where they scrimp. If you do your own prep work you seem to usually come out okay. They also are known for getting over spray on stuff and just not doing the best quality paint jobs but then again what do you expect? They have super low prices.
Honestly, I've never personally dealt with them just going on what I've read from others whom have. If you have a good one it sounds like a good place to use however, there seem to be a lot whom deal with them that don't have a good one.
Would I let them work on something of mine? No. Does that mean they are all horrible? Also a no. If you can get one that does good work which I'm sure that one does since you are happy with it and you seem about as picky as me I've read lots of reports of others not doing such satisfactory work.

Actually Will, you are right. They can be sloppy at times. But that's why I just keep on them. About a quarter of their work I had to bring back for them to do. For instance, this tailgate. They've already painted it before. But they painted it with their single stage coat, so it's more like a black/brown. So they are repainting it again. They do mess up frequently, but I keep on them and make them fix it till it is right. Even so, it's worth it. All of the other bodyshops are 2-3x more the price, just insane.
man i dont know what to say about this your messing around in a rc truck mud ring lol
i was looking for like pics of mud every where truck sunk mud going everywhere and with thoes pics i would of just said driving in a drive way cause thats what it looks like or a rc truck mud area its disappointing it really is
and if your trans is messed up make it go out right lock that thing up so it wont even move any more then go get your new tranny from dodge with at least a year warrenty and go run the **** out of it and blow that one up too so you can always have a new tranny in it.
i use to do ALOT of mudding i have got some huge tractors stuck from the places i use to go in i had the whole hood of my truck under mud it was like a sink hole and my truck was stock 4x4 but i made it through alot of mud and that looks really really small
i hate to flame you but you need to take this through some deep mud it can take it
i wish i still had pics of my 89 cougar going through mud it would make it through that and show your truck up
good luck with your truck and the mud take it through some deep stuff and post pics of that

Pictures weren't really meant to be hood covering in mud, just did some trolling through about 1-2" of mud to get the transfer case and front differential moving. Mudding is fun now and then, but I use my truck primarily for work. Towing and moving bed loads is the priority of my truck, but every now and then I don't mind participating in some mucky conditions. Those pictures weren't crazy, but the next day the trail my friend and I went down was a couple notches up. I should have taken some pictures of that.
