okay this one i can't really figure out....the truck is throwing no error codes, but if i'm stopped and i step on the gas to accelerate quickly, the truck doesn't accelerate nor does the rpm increase. rather the rpm decreases to like 300 rpm and then it takes a couple of seconds before the truck actually moves, before the motor actually gets its rpms up...anyone have any idea?

Perhaps the IAT is not fully retracting?

 

have you checked your cat???

 

try the crankshaft positioning sensor

 

haha maybe even the tps. Looks like you got your work cut out for ya.

 

If its a sensor, my money would be on the TPS, but you've got a lot of choices here.

From cheapest/easiest fix to most expensive:

1. Remove Throttle Body and Clean with Brake Parts Cleaner or the like. Reinstall and retest.

2. Test Catalytic Converter with a temp gun, if it's hotter going in than coming out, the Cat's clogged and needs to be replaced.

3. Test Fuel Pump at Schrader Valve on fuel rail to make sure it's holding 46-49 PSI at all times and in all conditions.

4. Replace TPS, IAC, or both

5. Replace Crank Sensor. PITA to get to and about $80 if I remember correctly.

 

haha to clear it up...the picture in my signature is from like 2 years ago in the rio grande....truck has been running great since then. it wasn't until lik ethree days ago that it started doing this bogging thing....

where is the IAT sensor located?>?
