newer generation 20s on a 96?
they are both 5 on 5.5 so they will fit but they changed from the .5 inch lugs to 9/16 inch lugs so watch for the slop. 1/16 of an inch isn't that much but can make a difference.
ATTENTION -Anyone comtemplating this. To save you guys a lot of pain and suffering that I went through. The 3rg gen 20's WILL NOT fit on 2nd gen ram's. Learned this the hard way. There was a spindle change in 2001 that allowed the use of that backspace. There was a guy that made them fit, but it took MAJOR work. Better to just buy some made for your trucks backspacing. You can use spacers to make them fit, I believe 1.5', but these are dangerous. Better to just get the rims that fit your truck.
Which is it? In this post I have heard someone recommend a 1.5" spacer and a 2" spacer to make these wheels fit on the front. Has anyone used these spacers and if so which one worked the best and allowed the use of the center cap on the wheel?
