How Can I Tell If I Have Differential Lockers?
How can I tell if I have differential lockers? Can I tell by the VIN number or something? It says in the manual that they are optional and since I bought the truck used I don't know whether or not I have them.
It is possible that you had gotten a limited slip, but the only way you get lockers are by putting them in. Have the dealer look up your vin and they can tell you whether your truck came with an "anti-spin differential" or something like that.
There should be a sticker in the glove box or on the underside of the hood that states your gear ratio and if you have a LSD or not. pcfixerpro is correct, unless you or a previous owner have put one it, it would not have come from the factory with a locker.
Another way you can check is to jack up the back end. Spin the driver side wheel. If the passenger side spins in the opposite direction, you have an open differential (no locker, no LSD).

I do believe this means your drive shaft will spin 3.93 time to make your tires spin 1 revolution and at that it will be a one tire fire.
