alright i just bought a 98 1500 quad cab. i was looking to see if it had remote locks and it had a controller but no fob. i went to the dealer and gave them the vin to my truck and they said it didnt come factory that way. so i gave them the number off the controller and he said it was out of a 01 ram and they couldn' get me a fob for it because they didnt have3 the macthing vin for the unit.
so can i unplug the three plugs on the unit and rip it out without doing anything wierd to the truck?
Also the doors lock when i turn the key on. Is there a way to turn this off?
