Default door for 01 1500

I just bought my first Dodge. My drivers door is rusted through on the bottom. It is an 01 ram 1500 quad cab i guess ( it has 4 doors but the back two open like suicide doors not sure if this is a quad cab or considered an extended cab) but will any 94-01 1500 door fit or does it have to have the same cab meaning extended or quad cab and will all years in the 94-01 fit

Default Door for 01 1500

Common problem for this generation truck. They stamped the doors wrong at the factory, that caused water to settle in the bottoms of the doors. You can find replacement panels on the net. Take 'em to a body shop and have 'em glued in and painted. About $1500.00.

I have had a quote to have new lowers put in at about $400 a door.
think he said it was 14" tall.
then he rust proofs it like the factory should have.
no idea what that means, it was a while back when i got the quote. I just did a bondo treatment to mine this weekend to help slow it down... I hope it does. not about to dump more $$ in to it because of **** poor engineering.

If you take your door panel off you will see the area where the water gets trapped. drilling holes might help with draining off the bulk, but it gets trapped in the area between the skin and the base support of the inner panel. I used caulking to seal it off.
Otherwise the inside of the door is practically rust free.
I also tore off that stupid rubber seal on the bottom, that is also trapping water in the fold along the bottom of the door.

Here is a youtube vid that inspired me. I didn't do quite as good as a job, but I just needed to get that bubbling paint/rust off.
