Question dual alternators?

Anyone heard of this? My friend informed me today, that he has 2 alternators on his ram! He is the 2nd owner and uses it for his landscaping business. He says it charges his dual battery to run his snow plow and strobe light (looks like a freakin x-mas tree) I've seen his truck many times but never under the hood

Has anyone EVER heard of this? dual alternator and dual batteries?

I am thinking of buying a plow for my truck. I found a used plow on Craigslist for $600.

I remember seeing a YouTube video of a Chevrolet, I think it was, that had three alternators. He took it in to get tested at AutoZone or some place as a joke, and it took several minutes and the manager to figure it out.

Yup... I've seen it done before. I myself will be outfitting a York AC Compressor for on board air.
