02-08 Tail Lights in a 96?
I figured it would take some metal working skills. Do you know how much difference there is between the 2nd gen and 3rd gen light styles? I could probably just outline the difference and plasma cut or grind the excess off. Then bend some sheet metal to fill in the gap and tungsten weld it into place and smooth it down with a grinding wheel. I was going to repaint the truck anyway to a gloss black and redo the decals on it so I don't think it would be too much of a problem.

I'm just curious since you made it sound so easy to do, and its really not at all LOL. I just got done welding in some holes on my front bumper, the dumbass previous owner didn't like the factory fog lights so he drilled some holes to mount new ones and I also filled in the holes for the liscense plate. Then ground down the welds, added some filler and sprayed some primer. It took me about 4-5 hours total to fill in 4 holes and finish it off with primer.
Now imagine sheet metal thats thin and has to be perfect to look good.
