Welcome to the forum.
Why would you need a new transfer case as well? Just because the tranny is bad doesn't automatically indicate a bad transfer case as well. If you do a search through the search function, you'll find a lot of information on transmissions and things to check first before surrendering to purchasing a replacement. There have been numerous discussions on this subject.

Welcome to the forum.

how many miles?

to get it rebuilt is roughly $2000-3000. or get APS, or an Evil transmission or hughes...

I went with a local shop with a nation wide 1yr warranty.

check out this link.

you really need to look the forum over for other things that might go, so if you can catch them early you might be ahead of the game
