Hey Guys. I have a 2001 1500 4x4. Just bought 35" tires on 15x10 rim. The tires rub really hard on the inner front fender. Do you guys have any suggestions to what I could try. I've read a 3" lift should do it, but My friends don't think so. Any ideas?

if you got a straight axle in the front then 33's would be max i would put on without a suspension lift.. clearance is my interest and specialty, but im thinkin on the off road perspective right now.. consider suspension flex, rubbing, tire pressue, load cap. EVEN HOW WIDE your tire is, not to mention if you get new wheels, gotta clear them too (theres more to a wheel then just how wide and tall) ect...

now im just yappin...
if your not hittin the trials or mud... then my opinion still stands at 33 max lol
if its independent suspension the maybe a 31 or 32.. JMO

I just got the top gun budget lift comes with coil spring spacers, rear blocks and u-bolts, and new rough country 8000 shocks for the front for $196.20, I saved on shipping because I live about 25mins from their shop lol. I havent got it on yet due to work but I think its well worth the $$ for 3" of lift...

and FWIW I run 285/75/16's on my truck and it hasnt attemted to rub the first time, but I think thats about max without a lift.

I got 35" tires and a 3" body lift..(they sometimes rub).. I'm lifting 2.5 more inches with spacers and leaf shackle lift in the rear. I suggest just putting them on before lifting if your not gonna change the gears to match.... That way if your really disappointed in all the power and mpg loss your gonna have you can take them back off and sell them or go to something less extreme...
The truck is really gonna be a dog and its going to burn up the transmission fast without gears better suited to the bigger tire ratio...
but there a few other active "lift" threads going on here explaining that already as well as hundreds in the archives...

You also need about 4.5" backspacing to be spot on reduced rubbing.
