Default Torque Converter :(

Well last week I noticed my truck was running on the highway about 5-600rpms higher then it should be. I checked with DRB and got a OD Performance silinoid failure (spelling probably wrong spell check not giving me any good options.. lol) Well I replaced that part and still have the problem just now im not getting the code for the silinoid failing... So that means my Torque converter is bad since it wont lock, I can force it to lock with DRB but unlocks right away.

So looks like when my Boss gets back from this weekends deer hunting trip we will be replacing it. Anyone got any suggestions for a better then stock Torque converter? Looking for something alittle more heavy duty then stock but not real extreme I got a 4x4 360 with stock tranny.

a new OEM torque converter is probably the safe bet,
but I saw this article several days ago
about a new torque converter design
that they claim is being tested in police and government motor pool vehicles:

wow, up to 59% fuel saving? That's a lot
If this is true, I'll buy one for sure!

Wow, and I'm in the OKC area as well. Looks like I'm going to give Blumenthal a call when I get to rebuilding my transmission.
