Default RPM Jump

I've got an interesting little problem. When going up hills between 0-30% throttle, I get a perfectly spaced RPM Jump. I go from about 800 to 700, and back to 800 within the course of a second.

Any idea's why? I was thinking possibly one of the sensors within the throttle body, however I cleaned them all about 5 months ago when I cleaned my whole throttle body out.

Any idea's?

The TPS usually causes that. You say you cleaned it, but maybe now it's just plain going bad .

All those lights are sucking so much juice from the system, that your truck can't get enough spark to the plugs all the time, hence the RPM variation.

I had the same problem a few months ago...about $40 and a new TPS later, problem solved. My TPS was fine UNTIL I cleaned it...never doing that again.

I'm not going to recommend cleaning the TPS or IAC any more,if they were a hundred bucks a piece maybe. But,it's a waste of time usually, and you wind up replacing one or the other anyway, because your stuck on the side of the road, or can barely make it home if you are lucky. Replacing one or the other fixes the prob 99% of the time. Replace them and clean the TB.
