Default Dynomax Muffler for V10?

I found a dynomax welded muffler online on rockauto for $100 and i am wondering if it will fit directly in place of the stock muffler. I don't think I am capable of rerouting pipes. Do I need to get anything in addition to the muffler for the installation or reset the computer or something of that nature?

I wouln't touch the exhust on that V10 unless you like the sound of an import. V10s sound like hondas with an exhust system because 2 cylinders fire at the same time. I have heard that Gibson's exhust is the only one that sounds ok but I've not heard it first hand.

The V10 will never sound like a V8, but it won't always sound like 2 fart piped hondas racin when a aftermarket muffler is used. I would suggest you stay with a large single exhaust and go for a quieter free flowin muffler instead of the louder ones. Should give it a deeper, mellower tone and not sound like a import. Think of the sound of the V10 as a big block V6. Do some searches on these Dodge forums and especially the Viper and SRT10Ram sections.

I'm not really worried about the sound as much as I am about the performance. Do these mufflers perform better than the stock muffler?

Yes, there will be a performance difference. You'll want to get all the measurements to see if it will fit right in though.
