check temp gauge/t-stat, replace t-stat if its not sitting on 195 or so. backflush heater core in both directions, ensure full flow. when running check both heater hoses. they should both be way too hot to hold. check your heat control which operates the blend door, it should rotate from cold to hot and move the door. the door is hidden. check that blower motor is running.

this is the service manual for an 01, but its very similar.

there's a couple more similar posts running about the blend door. follow those.

my thermo temp stays at 195 and doesnt ever go any higher, how would i go about trying to see if the heater core flows in both ways, i have no idea how to work on heat or a/c, im not leaking coolant and i cant tell if its full or not, i may be burning it but i doubt it. im thinking about checkin the blend door, which i think is that dial above the blower speed, how do you check it? thanks alot guys
