Default Help, What is my trucks problem?

I have a 2001 ram 1500. Most of the time it runs very well (I won't say great) but usually once every other trip or so , for just a short period of time it feels like the truck is not getting any fuel, I'll hit the gas and it just bogs down with air. If i put the pedal to the floor eventually, 2 - 5 seonds, the fuel will finally get there and I'll take off (this happens 2 or 3 times), Then it's usually just fine for another trip or 2. Sometimes it goes without issue, and other time you can hear it starting to choke and you know when you hit the gas it's not going to move. If you go real light on the pedal it will slowly try and keep up. I'm not too good with trucks other than knowing it's not running to well. I did run throttle body cleaner through the throttle body and fuel injector cleaner with my latest fill ups, my next thought was the fuel filter???

fuel filter and pump are together inside the tank. sort of expensive. that might be the problem. check fuel pressure at the test port/valve thing on the fuel rail.

i'd guess that more likely its the TPS, they can malfunction and not tell the pcm the truth about where your foot and the gas pedal are. about $40 at any local auto parts.

Thank you, I'll give that a shot first and see if it behaves better.
