when you pour stuff in the oil yes it breaks it loose but what happens when it stops the oil pump up and you loose oil pressure? thats a good question and very easy to answer. when you loose oil pressure you engine quits oiling then you start spinning main bearings, thus running metal shavings all though your engine. and incase you didn't know mopar engine are EXPENSIVE to build!!! good luck to all who do this procedure!

Yeah, I would not want anything breaking up engine sludge all at once unless I was pulling the oil pan and cleaning the pump screen, etc.

Eh, your fine I do the sea foam procedure every 10,000 miles no but deal. I get the impression that some are too paranoid around their vehicles. You just have to live with the fact that if it breaks you can fix and you learn from your mistakes.
Sea foam in the oil is not a problem If you read the can it says you can put about 1/3 of the can in your oil. Usually you do that about an hour before you change the oil, but if you only poured a little bit in the vent its not that big of deal. Consider one to two ounces to 5 quarts.

umm i put a little in the hose and a little into my oil itself. I just checked my oil and it seems fine but i was thinking about draining a little (less than half a quart) and replacing it with fresh oil.

Just drain it all, and refill with new. Seems like most use it just before an oil change, not long term. Why take chances?
