Strange noises
I have a clicking noise that I haven't been able to diagnose yet. It isn't constant or regular either which makes it even harder. I have an 01 dodge ram sport 4x4 w/ a 5.2 L engine no other mods yet (I want to fix all of the bugs first). Sometimes if I am at a complete stand still and get on the throttle a little hard it makes a clicking noise from under the truck. After a second it will stop on its own, or if I let off of the gas and try again it stops making the noise. I'm not sure where this is coming from. Any help would be great.
Another noise is a womp womp noise which I think is coming from the front end. What could be causing this noise.
Yet another noise is what I think is a squeaking pulley that I can't find either. Any ideas on how to locate.

the clunk off a dead stop is probably driveshaft play. Check your rear u-joints. The "womp womp" (spaced out irratically) noise from the front end is that lope from the cam in your truck.. lol just kiddin. Have to be more specific on that one. To check for a squeaky pully, you take your belt off and rotate the pully's if you wish. Maybe try to shoot some wd40 one pully shaft at a time with the belt on and the truck running. When you dont hear the squeak, you have hopefully found the problem.
Noises are hard without hearing them and sourcing them out. It could be so many things.
Clicking or clunking? A click could be a u-joint. You didn't sway which end or side you hear it on. Could be brake pads. You didn't say if this started after any work on the truck or if this is in 2wd or 4wd.
A womp womp could be scalloped tires. You didn't say if there's a vibration or pull to a side or if it pulls during braking.
The squeak could be a pulley but before I put any lube close to a belt, I'd spray belt dressing on the belt to see if it's just the belt slipping. You didn't say if that was under load or idle only or when steering.

I agree with charlie, check the wheel bearing/hub assy for the womp sound. My Dad has an '02 with that sound and he was told by the shop it needs a new bearing/hub, tie rod end, and ball joint...about $750 worth (with labor).
I'm so sorry but this topic makes me laugh...
Click, clunk, whomp whomp, snap, crackle, pop... sound like me taking a dump
Ok, i know, toilet humor...
I have experience with Clicking:
Lifters, heat shield on the exhaust, broken valve, ... could be anything.
Whomp Whomp ... not a clue
Clunking noise... u-joint?
Try to be more specific, use some one to put behind the wheel and let him (or her) give it some gas while you listen to the sounds, also try to switch from drive to reverse and listen if the clunking noise appears.
