Some cars have an arm that sticks out with a hole that a 3/8" or 1/2" drive ratchet (or other designs) will fit into. Our Rams(and some other vehicles) you can simply put a socket on the pulley bolt to release the tension. And speaking of tension, I bet you two would get along great if you met each other and had a beer together. :-)

And BTW VMANN! Since I'm acting like the Fatherly type right now, read/listen and learn before you keep making posts about things you know nothing about.

I read all the posts on the site lol. Besides, sooner or later someone will most likely have the same question.

You can do it. Working on these trucks is a snap. The Haynes manual is actually pretty decent.

A Haynes manual is only like $20, not $35. And you can also download the FSM here for free. http://www.rm-indy.com/wavefiles/2001ramsrvcmanual.zip

That's the best place for ordering parts. I think I paid $20 for my manual. Make sure you order over $100 worth of parts each time to make it worth your while.

I just got back from running some errands and also stopped to return the POS Accel coil I bought and walked over to the Haynes manuals and they were $17.99.
