Default abs problems on 96 ram

I am having trouble with my braking system on my 96 ram 1500 2wd. My brake light and abs light will come on periodically on the dash. While the lights are ON on the dash, the brakes work fine, but when the lights go out, they act strangely, almost like the abs system is trying to work but working incorrectly. It seems like that when the lights are out that only the front brakes are working. HELP! Does this sound like an ABS module going bad, or could it be something else? Thanks!

Default RE: abs problems on 96 ram

I had a problem like this in my 2004 Ram. Check the connector at the Anti-Lock Brake controller, may have water in it. Dry it out, pack it with dialectic grease, should be good to go.
