how to clean injectors

Default how to clean injectors

is there any way to clean my injectors or at least check them since they are off of my truck right now?

I went to wal-mart and bought a cheap jewelry cleaner with out a timer I could fit four injectors in it and let it run for days if I wanted. I put the injectors in and then covered them with seafoam.

I also bought a one gallon can of Berryman's Carb. and parts dip and soaked them in that for a day or two. I haven't had any problems yet and they are silver now.

Yep. That's the way to do it. Mineral spirits is an excellent solvent to use in the sonic cleaner bath.

People don't realize this, but properly maintained injectors will literally last forever.

Not to jack - but is it pretty simple to get the injectors out of these trucks? Looks like it is...

^^ Yes. Also, it's a good idea to replace the O-rings (upper and lower) whenever they've been removed. Lubricate them with a light oil lest they be torn, which will result in a fuel leak that can lead to an engine fire.
