Default Wierd Transmission Problems

my truck has done this for a while and i was wondering if anyone had a clue as to what is wrong. my truck shifts fine, except when shifting into first. when goin from park to drive it will take up to 10 seconds to kick in then after this it shifts up and down perfectly. i have roughly 115k miles, automatic. any advice will be appreciated

You may start with fluid level. When did you adjusted the bands and changed the fluid ?
What color is your fluid ? Is it burnt ? Does it happens all the time or when you first start it in the morning ? Please post your answers. Thank you.

Start it in neutral and see if that helps. The pump doesn't circulate the fluid good in park. When you had it flushed did they adjust the bands and replace the filter? If not that should be done.
