Well get another Chevy then! Cuz any mods you do to your Ram, you'll be lucky to get 1 maybe 2 mpg more. Putting on 245 tires and staying out of the pedal will gain you more , but then it looks like he-ll .

 

Maybe I should just buy the most aggressive 245 I can find and run it! I have 265's right now and get about 11 city/13-14 highway with the 5.9L.

Let's see...

1 or 2 more mpg, better take off and look like a dork (no offense if you are running 245's)
1 or 2 less mpg, worse take off and look a lot cooler (with 285's)

 

Yea cats good. I'm gonna go with smaller tires when I replace them. The 285's are killing it. I gotta get out of all this futuristic crap motors. I need a good old carburated motor, one you can actually tweak and gain HP. Anyone out there put a 426 hemi in one of these 2nd Gen trucks. **** anyone got one? Thanks guys

 

The engine would be worth more than the truck if you put a 426 HEMI (a real HEMI, that is) in it.

 

Those things are hard to come by, and to think my oldman sold one for 500$ 20 years ago

 

jeeze guys i run 285 tires with the 5.9 auto and get 20 highway, i dont bother city but its around 15-17

 

Oh yeah? I run 40in boggers with 3.55 gears and get 23mpg in town so beat that! sheesh.
