Default Burning gas not moving!!

I wonder how much mpg it costs letting the truck warm up for about 5-7 minutes before driving it?

I bet hank is the person to ask. The thing is we know we use more gas in "Open-loop" if you get in and drive right away. I assume your 5-7 minutes may be more benificial from that stand point since your truck has a chance to warm up. I would say 10 minutes or more and you're probably wasting your gas. Just a guess

The other day I let my truck warm up for about 5-7 minutes and the gas hand moved about a 1/16" or so. Maybe I have other problems. I noticed lately the gas mileage is dropping a little too. I figured it may be coming from where I let it warm up. Is there anything on these trucks that would cause it to run too rich?

O2 senors, clogged cat, plenum... many other reasons.

My truck warms up for 10 minutes every morning for work during this time of year. I went from average of 18 to 14MPG's.

I warm up in the AM and in the PM, each time just under 10mins (remote starter has a 10min timer). I lost only 1mpg, but not sure if thats just because of the winter fuel.

(13.5 city down to 12.5 city)
