Ok so here is the stupid question I thought I would throw out to you guys.

First a little backstory; This girl I have class with owns a late model Toyota Celica GT-S with the 2ZZ-GE engine and she wants to run it against my Ram with the whole hearted thought that she is gonna "whoop my @$$".

So the question; Who do you think will win?

My mods: Long tube headers, custom 2 to 1 exhaust, hi-flow cat, magnaflow muffler, modded kegger, taylor thundervolt wires, denso iridium plugs, kenne bell supercharger 6# boost, sct tuner, msd 2 bar map sensor, 60lb mopar injectors, fastman 52mm TB, powertrax rear locker, 33" mud tires.
Stock parts: 360 motor, 4.10 gears.

Her mods: Aftermarket racing muffler.

I'm gonna take her up on the offer after my truck is out of the shop if she is still interested.

Just my opinion...those Celicas have good top end.

Your truck has the aerodynamic and acceleration characteristics of a brick. It may sound nice when you mash the pedal, but you've got nothing on that car.

By the way, if you street race, you deserve to die. Plain and simple. Don't endanger others for your own benefit.

 

very good point. it will be about a 1/4 mile run.
before the sct tuner and the supercharger i beat a late model modified cavalier z24, so i guess i thought the celica wouldn't be anything for me now.

Id say you should get a larger tb also if your running boost.
You should have more off the line power but as you go down the strip she should overtake you. If anything, just drive over her car.

 

i buddy has a 2000 gts 1/4 it ran 15.3ish but he has the vvtli with 6sp ( at was power stiffing)........ so i would run her.....

i run the gts when i can, its alot fast than my truck but we run for fun,,,, sum times i win if i catch it just right (rolling round 30ish and hitting it, if it goes in to frist i got it i got it)........... if i can rember right the end of first gear is about 40. so the truck is 50 so the would still be pulling pretty hard..


i will wacth closer when we go driving in the gts.

next time ask what year and auto/stick?

p.s the 2000 gts has stock 180hp...but that's ricer math..lol
