Hate to do it but gotta get rid of the truck.
I have to sell my truck, so I just want some input as to what I should do with it. It has a good working 360 and some good interior pieces, the body is mostly ok, the bumpers are dented. The transmission is terrible though.
Wonder if I ought to part it out or try to sell it for 1,000 OBO. It's in central florida and the quicker I can get rid of it, the better.
Thanks.

Or find a used dealer and try get there at a time where only one guy is working. I had a 94 that i bought for $2OOO and two years later and 35,000 miles later i sold it for the same price. The paint was chiped and trans really bad and front axle was somewhat broken.
I went to a used dealer and only one guy was working and he walked around it never knew the Miles on it 245000 and he said $2000 and right away i took his word. the truck in its best condition was only worth 1250 but the trans was bad and axle broken so i took the money.

I got an email saying they'd pay 1500 but it was just an email off craigslist. If i sell it, and give some money to my dad to get a sedan or at least put down, i can get his dakota. It's a little beater that I love driving because of the MPG and it being quicker.
If it's for real, i'll take the 1500 and be on my way. If not, I'm considering parting it out and using the engine for the dakota, though I really want to run a turbo setup on the v6 he has.
Not much upgrades really, open air cleaner and a bunch of preventive stuff like timing chain, water pump, plenum plate, tune ups, heater core. replaced the dash. That's one thing there, it has a perfect dash and cap. redid the headliner, installed new pioneer 6x9 up front, but no rear speakers as i was satisified with the volume the pioneers put out. put in new carpet, but it was custom fit, just a way to get the old smokey carpet out and something that smelled better in, lol.
