Hello everyone, I just recently purchased a 2000 Dodge Durango from a guy on Craigslist the truck was in good shape I presumed and it needed just a little suspension work like new brakes and a control arm. Done! No problem! But a week later I tried driving to Wisconsin from Chicago got maybe a third into my journey and the engine started knocking. Fortunately for me I have AAA. But the irony of it is that when I first purchased it and had it inspected everything was fine. But now I need a new engine and everywhere I look they want at least $2000 or more. This is a very compramising situation does anyone know where I can get a reasonable priced 4.7 engine with at least a 3 to 6 month warranty?
